Janet Axelrod’s Lotus Corp. story about Mitch Kapoor, wanting to keep the collegial feel of the company, but needing to be told that the position of CEO of a Fortune 500 company carried power, authority, respect and expectations beyond the individual he was. He needed to act the position and exercise authority, not matter that it was not who ”he” was.
